Plan is to finish the trip in NZ, 2024 by our current reckoning - figure I'll need my new anchor and chain before then!!
I can really understand not wanting to dash off to NZ in July, but let me play devil's advocate a moment here. It would take you about a week to sail to Auckland, from Sydney. In July, it would not be a fun trip, but it might be a great shakedown, and there's nothing to say you can't sail Auckland to Cairns, for re-entry, on the SE's. That might be a very fun trip, indeed, and with excellent provisioning possibilities in Cairns before heading further north and west to Darwin. I guess my point is, the decision may hang on the cost of shipping, and how much you want to avoid a shakedown in July to NZ! You needn't lose too much time, doing it, though. Perhaps take you 3 weeks, if all went well, and you'd finish up in Cairns, with that leg missing.

We have just purchased 80 mt of 10mm stamped & certified ISO4564 G40 on special from Southern Seas Marine on the Gold Coast at less than we could purchase L30 for. well worth a call. Cheers
