If you do not, what is the plan if you need to row your boat? Fuel tank maybe? Wife says we can't argue so that rules out one person on each tube.

You could probably kneel down before her and pull. No need for the bench seat. This Also puts you in a good position for prayer. If the engine won't start and your rowing you probably used words that beg forgiveness.
