What is it?

Hi all, I found this tool in my new to me Norseman 447. I'm thinking it's some sort of removal/ installation tool, maybe for the prop or coupler? I usually know what other people's gadgets are used for but not sure about this one. Any one have a guess?

Don't "know", but perhaps an emergency tiller?

Re: What is it?

Possibly a hand crank for your engine? We had a similar looking bit of kit on our Baba30 for the old volvo. Congrats on the new N447! We love ours, join the Facebook group, it's just Ben and I on there so far. ;-)

Re: What is it?

My thoughts are manual windlass handle for when the batterys are dead. Or manual engine start (connects to pully on engine (real long shot)

Re: What is it?

It doesn't fit my Nillson windlass. I'll check the Westerbeke but would be tough in that engine room!

Ain't that the truth - if you throw it out you'll find out what it's for in a real hurry.

Re: What is it?

Looks like a homemade wrench that could fit a Groco water strainer

Re: What is it?

I have one fits the windlass but requires removal of top brake handle section to fit. Manuals are online. Have fun.

Does that blue paint match anything else on board?

Re: What is it?

Sailor chic and Tev, you're right! Manual handle for my V3000 windlass. Blue things are the handle. Thanks all!
