Sailrite threading diagram
I Purchased a used Sailrite sewing machine and it came with a simple manual but no diagram on how the properly thread the bobin. It does say that it was threaded at the factory and notes should be taken on how this was done but since we bought it used and the bobin was removed we have no clear picture of how it should be threaded. Anyone have a diagram available?
Thanks |

We have a sailrite at the boat. If you are unable to get what you need here or from sailrite I will send you our instructions.

Did you contact sailrite? I would have thought that they would send you a diagram. Like I said I have what you need.

From the spool up to the hanger directly overhead, over to the machine and through the TOP hole in the post that has two hole, over to the tension adjuster on top (the thing that looks like two stacked curved washer, twice around and over to the bobbin post beside the flywheel. Start the wrap around the bobbin clockwise looking at the bobbin from the top (bobbins have no real top/bottom, it's how you wind them that determines orientation) and take through a hole in the top. Place the bobbin on the post being sure you maintained the correct orientation. Push the bobbin and post towards the flywheel and start running. It's best to disconnect the flywheel from the internal gears so that when winding bobbins the needle stays stationary.

May not be quite that easy.....Sailrite has used several different heads for their base model over the years. They also offer several different upgrade models. I went through a few of them while I was running a canvas business on our boat while cruising.
I think that you will find Sailrite to be very helpful but you will need to have any and all numbers and markings from your machine. |
