Prop for Lehr engine

I have been thinking about this a few times off and on. Since we are currently talking about refillable 1 lb propane tanks, this has popped up in my mind again.
I have a 5 hp Lehr outboard but it is insufficient to bring my 310 RIB to planning speed. Not surprising really ... but I am also not getting the full power out of the engine because it never gets to anywhere near full RPM's. I am thinking of fnding a lower pitched propeller but have no idea if I can just buy a propeller off a rack someplace or if it has to be a Lehr propeller. Also, I have no clue what the appropriate pitch would be short of doing trial and error testing with different pitch propellers (I would assume the diameter to stay the same).
Any suggestions how to best proceed with this would be appreciated.

I think you'll find that Yamaha props fit the Lehr. Take your old one to a Yamaha dealer so you can compare them and be sure I'm right on this.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Any suggestions as to what I should ask for as pitch for the new prop ?

I really don't know. I don't think you'll have a lot of choices any way. It would be nice if they would allow you to borrow one and try it. Promise to pay for it if you don't bring it back in new condition.
