I'm about to
purchase a new
engine for a
dinghy. The
dinghy is a "Porta-Bote" folding hard dinghy and requires a 4-5HP model 56lbs or less with a 15" shaft. I'm leaning towards the Suzuki or Tohatsu but the sales guy is telling me that Yamaha are the best for international
parts availability and serviceability. We are planning to do a lot of international cruising and it might be important to be able to easily get
parts (if needed) throughout the world. Any thoughts? Are the Yamaha's good engines and worth the extra
money over the Suzuki/Tohatsu?
