Not Just Another Dinghy

The Amazing Flying R.I.B or Flying Inflatable Boat (F.I.B)

Does anyone have one of these things?

or

Has anyone seen one of these things?

Do they actually work?

Seems to me that anchoring 5 miles away doesn't seem so much of a drawback anymore.

Re: Not just another dinghy

I have seen similar ones several times on Floridas Gulf coast I believe it was in the Tampa- Sarasota area. I have a picture of one flying near my boat in my files if I can find it I'll post it.

Oh great! Now I'll have to worry about flying dinghies overhead.

Re: Not just another dinghy

We were around during the delivery, commissioning and initial training of one of these near Pt Vila, Vanuatu.

While the ads insist that they are easy to fly, we watched this owner nearly kill himself before he even took off, ground (water?) looping it at speed.

Scary to me as a non-flyer!

Cheers,

Jim
