Marking Registration on Inflatable Dinghy

Hi, any tips for the best way to mark the registration numbers on a zodiac? I'm guessing paint and stencils but what paint is compatible with the rubber and will last a few years?

most people attach a plastic 3"x12" sheet to the lines on the side and put numbers there.

We have used the vinyl based paint that Nicro markets (or used to anyway) for refinishing their cowl vents. Comes in red or white, very flexible and lasts as long as the dinghy will.
