Re: Lehr outboard long term reviews

"The engine definitely needs an external purge button."
I agree. In the mean time you shouldn't need to purge the engine unless it's been sitting unused for a long time. The trick I've found on the long hose is to disconnect it from the engine when you need to, but don't disconnect it from the tank. Then turn the tank off. The hose should stay full of propane a long time that way.
If you disconnect it from the tank the propane comes out and air gets in.

Thanks for the reminder. I believe you had previously mentioned that but I had forgotten.

Re: Lehr outboard long term reviews

Regarding using 1lb tanks - have you guys thought about refilling them from a larger tank using one of the adapters.

Re: Lehr outboard long term reviews

I have an adapter coming so I can recharge the "emergency" little bottles. Because of the limited range of the little bottles, I will use the 10 lb bottle in most cases but it sure is nice to either have a tank where you can see the propane level or failing that a couple of little spare bottles.
