Inflatable Colors

I have recently discovered that some inflatable manufacturers offer, (for an additional charge), a range of colors for the tubes. I am interested to find out what the "collective intellegence" of this board thinks. Is it a good idea, and if so why and what color would you chose?

Re: Inflatable Colors

I've owned a white Achilles for seven years and it definitely ages to an offwhite pretty quickly, but I would say it gets much less hot in the tropics than the typical grey boat. I imagine that the cooler temperatures it endures are good for longevity. Makes it easier to spot at the dinghy dock too. I've seen some nice Coast Guard orange ones that are visible a mile away--probably make a much better lifeboat, that's for sure, and something that looks different is much less likely to get stolen.

Re: Inflatable Colors

Something that stands out. If it gets stolen it's EZ to spot, and EZ to spot if it ends up as an emergency vessel.
