How About One OF These As A Tender?

(yeah, that's really useful info - so what do the foils, engines and batteries weigh?)

Bet it costs 20,000 US, so maybe not...

I assume the center of gravity may be at 8 meters when on the foils, but even allowing for any buoyancy in the foils, at rest, the stability looks about on par with a straddle type jet ski (or whatever their current appellation is). Given the weight of jet skis, they may actually be more stable than the Quadrofoil at rest, although with batteries, foils and motor, I'd not be surprised if the weights were about the same.

I researched the batteries independently which are substantial in cost and weight. About $10,000 and 250 lbs. For comparison the Chevy Volt 16 kwh battery weighs 450#. Maybe they have lighter cheaper ones. Is the battery included in the price?
With the foils down it draws 1 meter but it looks like they are pivoting but no details.
Then there is this:

It can't be CG, unless it's tethered to a balloon, I think they may mean roll center?

If there is no weight or effort above the center of gravity? And there certainly isn't.

I think 8m is a bogus number. I bet they used some radius of the underwater foils, which MIGHT only make sense while it is actually foiling.

Let somebody else bite first. Don't be the lab rat. Very expensive experiment that I believe has a good chance of ending badly.

A hydrofoil would make a cool toy, but I don't like the idea of using it for a tender for a sailboat. Electric is good if you are okay with the inherent limitations. I intend to electrify my kayak/tender next year and i have already repowered my live aboard sailboat with electric drive. But I wouldn't touch an electric hydrofoil tender even if it was cheap, until I see some credible reviews. I just can't picture it being practical. Gotta show me on this, not just tell me.

Growley, you obviously did not include in the purchase price the cost of all the safety equipment that comes FREE with the boat -

looks like it would be easy to drive onto a beach, get close to a dock and when the battery dies you can easily row! other than that it's useless.
