Gunwale fender / rubber for alloy tender?

Hi folks

We have a steel hull and an alloy tender now.

Does anyone have suggestions and photos of how they fender the gunwale of the tender.

I like my paint work.

They have these gr8 new things called a Kaptain Kollar that go around the tender but the quote is $850 for mine.

I am hoping to spend less than that.

Cheers

I use 1" or 1.5" PVC air hose rivetted at regular intervals to the gunwales along with a couple of small fenders along the side that pulls up against the ladder of the boat. Works brilliantly and costs basically nothing in boat bucks.

Found a recent picture that shows some of the arrangement at least

How about the cheap "pool worms" Not sure what they are called by maybe noodles?
Anyway cheap foam floats for kids, cut a slit in it and slide it over the lip of the tender.
Probably won't last more than a couple of months, but they are cheap.
