Genesis Console RIB Lite

Does anyone have any experience with the Genesis Console RIB lite? I really like the idea of having a console but I want to keep the dink as lite as possible. I've had a bad back and the pounding while steering on the side of the tub can sometime hurt my back.

I'm really concerned about the weight but at only 179 lbs it seems the extra 48 lbs for the console isn't too bad.

In my view a console takes up a lot of space in dingy. I also prefer to tiller steer. To avoid sitting on the side of the tube to drive, I've always mounted a an ice chest with a cushion going across the the dingy. By saving the weight on a console should also allow you to go up a size in dingy. I really do like the Walker Bay Genesis line. I have not been in one yet, but looking at them in the store they have a lot of nice details. Good luck on your choice.

I personally wouldn't have a steering console in anything under 15 Ft, and would definitely not recommend one for anything under 13 ft.
