That is good to know. I'm considering a Cruise 2.0 for a 8'6" aluminum RIB. Sounds like the Cruise 2.0 would serve us well.

Can the battery on the travel 801 be recharged using a solar panel?

I do not know. I had to return it because the prop locked up.
I'm now looking for either a Honda or Mercury dinghy motor.
