It is the Cruise 2.0 that also stands for 2.Kw They will also be producing a different prop for this unit to give it even more forward speed speccially made for lightweight ribs

That is good to know. I'm considering a Cruise 2.0 for a 8'6" aluminum RIB. Sounds like the Cruise 2.0 would serve us well.

I do not know. I had to return it because the prop locked up.
I'm now looking for either a Honda or Mercury dinghy motor.

it's pretty simple:
401=400W
801=800W
2.0=2kW

We saw a very neat arrangement on a walker bay, used as a tender by a cat in France. They had put solar panels on the thwarts, got the battery in a locked, vented box under the stern thwart and it all worked brilliantly. He said he barely moved the battery from one end of the season to the other and it kept the engine well charged. It is very sunny there of course.

Torqeedo Travel 801

I used it for two weeks and had to return it to West Marine because it locked up. I eventually purchased a Yamaha 8Hp model F8MSH.
