I have two 16,000 BTU 110 volt
water chillers that provide
air conditioning to my
sail boat at the
dock . When they kick in the amp needle hits the stop at 100 amps and then settles out at 35 amps. On this circuit are 5 air handlers , the
raw water pump and the 2 chillers. When the unit cycles the shore circuit breaker sometime trips , but not always. Does anyone have any idea if this
current draw is excessive. Also at another marina for several years this was never a problem. The slip is brand new and all
electric is new as well. Are new breakers more sensitive?
