Disassembly of Quick Antares Capstan

Hi guys

I have a Quick Antares Capstan (they call it a vertical windlass). I need to pull it apart. The manaul tells me how to take the genny (gypsy) off and this i can do without issue. But how do I pull the shaft? There are shaft seals at either end and the shaft has a keyway and a woodruff key, so the woodruf key can't pass the shaft seal.

I'm reluctant to use force.'

I've tried youtube to see if there are nay vids - but nothing.

help!

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
