Dingy chocks (removable?)

The picture is of my foredeck which is where I want to store my 10' Avon RIB when on passage. The dingy will be inverted but will need chocks on the deck to prevent it abrading/chafing. There are multiple points to lash the dingy to (aluminum gunnel rail).

I don't really want to attach permanent chocks to the deck which will be a nuisance (toe stubbers) when the dingy is not in place.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can lash the dingy on the foredeck without risk of it chafing on the deck?

Re: Dingy chocks (removable?)

Do you have rough surface on the deck or something? I don't notice any chafing at all with our set-up. You might look up the "Houdinghy" method of lashing down a dinghy. Brian Toss describes it in his book. I think it would require you to add some pad eyes on the deck though. You cant get much holding going to the side at the toe rails. You need to be able to pull the boat down to the deck so it can't get away. Then it won't chafe. Unless you have a hard dink...?
