Cleaner for Hypalon inflatable (Achilles)
Have a 2005 Achilles LSI 104 (hypalon) dinghy which is becoming a bit 'dingy'. Can anyone recommend a 'safe and effective' cleaner for the tubes and inflatable floor? Something 'off the shelf' without the name "MARINE' on it
Have tried some 'Name Brand Marine Hypalon Cleaner', but it worked no better than a mild soap and water washdown.

I have found that oxcalic acid works good. Whatever you end up using use a green scrubber lad with it to help lift the dirt out of the surface weave. IMO

Spray 9 works great
Do not use water till clean then rinse
Rinse deck thoroughly as it will leave it slippery

Mean Green if you can find it, Dissolves spider and fly spots instantly.

Go with acetone. The guy who repaired our dinghy last summer recommended it on Hypalon. Our dinghy looks almost new! Just give it a wash with soap and water after scrubbing with the acetone.

We have had very good success with Mary Kate inflatable boat cleaner. It made some of our former dinghies look almost new again. Easy to use. Chuck

Just painted our hypalon RIB with rubberized roofing paint (Home Depot $40/gallon), will let you know how it stands up to abuse

Magic eraser...is the best.....after that use a coat of liquid automobile PVC polish which contains sunscreen

I believe that Achilles recommends 303 Protectant spray, not an automotive product. I have an Achilles, but can't put my hand on the manual, at the moment.
Magic Eraser is a good product but is abrasive and should be used carefully. Reserve it for the truly tough marks.
