Antifoul Paint for Aluminum RIB

Hello all,

I am looking for any advice or experience with antifoul paint for aluminum RIBs.

I looked at my go-to supplier, Defender, and found a couple of products.

The MDR product seems to have the best reviews from what I found but that product is copper based and I believe that would be bad on an aluminum hull. Same for the Pettit product. That leaves the Aquagard product. I need to do more research.

We want a hard paint so when we pick up the dingy to put it on the deck for longer trips we don't get ablative paint everywhere. Did that, it sucked. But the light weight, aluminum hull is posing a bit of a problem with the galvanic issue.

Any suggestions or experience would be great.

Don't know if you can get Trilux out there but it is suitable for aluminium ans sticks well. Only problem is that its medium strength, but that should be okay for the dink which will spend some time on the deck.

Used it on a previous boat with a stern drive that was Ali.
