Achilles inflatables - CSM fabric??

have a chance to buy a nice looking nearly new achilles dinghy model lex96. i see it's made with a fabric called csm, not hypalon like i've come to expect with achilles.

anyone know about or have experience with this fabric? i'm sure it's not as good as hypalon but is it better than the pvc that most other cheap inflatables use?

Supposedly CSM is "generic Hypalon". PVC is the stuff that hates the sun.

CSM is the good stuff.

Dupont Hyperlon is no longer made, so other manufacturers will have different names for the same stuff.

Hypalon was a DuPont trademark for chlorosulfonated polyethylene - CSM (or CSPE).
