i have a caribe 10' dink that is rated 20hp, but i have a 15hp yamaha fourstroke on the back and find that the engine is to heavy for the dink, the transom digs down in the water so i have to sit very far forward to get it up on a plane. i've had simmilar dink with 15 two stroke before and found it works much better planing but used double the gas. I'm a firm believer in having a big enough dink to tow your boat comfortably
