Who Made this Hydraulic Tension Adjuster ?

Hi: Hoping a knowledable rigger can help. My O'Day 34 came with the attached backstay adjuster. I sent it to a shop to have it rebuilt. Unfortunately, the tech misplaced some of the parts. They have offered to have new parts machined but I don't have any reference as to tell them what to build. Can anyone identify the manufacturer of the tensioner and let me know where I can get some data on it?

Hello, I was just browsing and I think I have the same tensioner and I have the drawings. Do you still need them?

Re: Who Made this Hydraulic Tension Adjuster ?

Hi: Thanks for the reply. The tension adjuster was made by Seaway Powell in England. They rebuilt it for me and it was re-installed and works great. Let me know if you need any

Allright, yes already thought that they came from England but i did not have the hydraulics file on hand. Always better to reply straight away as i sometimes get lost here...

Will need a rebuild myself as the top seal is leaking. Could you please send me the details in a private message?

Re: Who Made this Hydraulic Tension Adjuster ?

Sorry, not sure how to post a private message. The website is www.seawaypowell.com Customer Serrvice email is info@seawaypowell.com . They are able to supply parts for all their non-current products so you may be able to simply order seal and have it repaired at a local hydraulic shop. Very professional group of folks. My rebuild was slightly more than $500 due to the fact that the parts were very badly corroded. It took a little investigating to determine best freight back from England. USPS was $45 to get there. TNT freight (the lowest) was $185 to get back. Good Luck
