where does the wrap stop go, how high?

Have a profurl 290 on my 27 Mirage, unit works great. first year after stepping the mast discovered the fore stay had unraveled some. replaced the forestay and re-installed the furler. My problem is i did not mark where the wrap stop went on the fore stay. put it where i thought it should go but wondered about it all last year, although did not have issues. have stepped the mast again for the winter and am wondering, do i put it as high as it will go against the roller block? does it go at the top of the extrusion parts? i know its supposed to stop the halyard from wrapping around the fore stay and unwrapping it. BUT where should it go to get the best protection?
