What is this part and where can I get one?

Good morning. This is the first broken part I found when I pulled the gypsy off my 1999 Simpson Lawrence Electric Windlass/Capstan.

I swear I've seen such a thing before but can't remember.

Lewmar bought Simpson Lawrence. I have been unable to locate a schematic.

Hoping someone can tell me what its called and where I can get one.

See attached pic.

THANKS!

It's called a "wave spring washer". It's a specialty item that usually dealers carry but can be found if it's of generic sizes.

What is the OD, ID and thickness?

If you cannot find the part locally you could contact John at SL Spares see Homepage | Simpson Lawrence Yacht Parts & Spares

John used to work for Simpson Lawrence before Lewmar made him redundant and had been very helpful in find spares for all kinds of SL equipment

If you have any difficulty finding the part from the sources cited above, try these folks. They went to great lengths to help me get a replacement windlass when my Spring 1500 crapped out (twice).

Re: What is this part and where can I get one?

Try taking the broken one to any local bearing supply house. They should be able to source one for you, for they are a common item, and I doubt if s/l used a non-standard size in their design.
