What are the 3 lines exiting the boom

My boat is a 24' Laguna
In my boom I have 3 lines the exit in leech side of boom.
One is obviously the outhaul, pretty sure ones a reefing line. Which leaves one more and I have no idea.

At the mast side of the boom the two out lines have a type of one sided cam cleat
There is a clam cleat on the bottom of mast and been using that for
Outhaul.

First I thought maybe both lines were for jiffy reefing setup but found nothing with Google "two line jiffy reefing".

Sorry I don't have pics but will get if needed

Thanks in advance
Micheal

I'd assume a "second reef" as well.

2 line reefing? One for tack and one for clew?

I wouldn't think so. They both exit on the clew side of the boom

I'd guess the adjustable part of the topping lift - it's likely fixed at the masthead.

But just a guess, I don't know the boat.

Outhaul,1st Reef, 2cnd Reef most likely. The "half cam cleats" are used to secure each line (1st reef, 2cnd reef). They can be a bit inconvenient, opening/closing when you don't want them to.

+1 on topping lift. Just uncleat it and see what happens.
Preferably without somebody else in the cockpit under the boom...
OTOH, if you have another body, have them support the boom end when you uncleat the line.

Are the lines connected to anything on the exit (clew) side?
If not, you can use them for whatever comes to your mind.
I would use one for outhaul (you already mentioned that).
The next one or both as reefing lines to be attached to the leech. To do that, you need the corresponding attachment points on the leech of the sail, say at 1/3 and 2/3 height.
Then, on the mast side - either cleats, winches to secure or blocks to turn the lines back to the cockpit.
You can take third line out if you believe one reef is enough - I would replace it with a thin line to thread proper line when/if needed in the future.

Re: What are the 3 lines exiting the boom

Lines on the aft end of the boom probably are topping lift, outhaul and jiffy reefing. With the main hoisted you should be able to tell by looking. The topping lift will run to the mast head and may be simply attached with a hook. The outhaul runs through the clew to a turning block at the end of the boom to a cleat. It applies tension to the foot of the main. The reefing lines will run up through the sail reefing points down to a block and forward. Many rigs will have a reefing line for each reef point.

Why should a topping lift be threaded through the boom?
