Voyage or Maxim owners

Interested in finding out the best way to rope up the boom,post 2001 model has targa top and boom sheeted to run on top of this.Sheet comes out bottom of targa arch onto winch to allow moving boom along mainsheet traveller.Currently find it hard to move boom and think i dont have it rigged properly through blocks appreciate feedback from others.Thanks Geoff.

If it hard to move check your traveler (Harken) make sure it moves easily. There are little plastic bearings that wear out. Also make sure that the return line across the top is not pinched under the cat walk. If you have the orignal build book it outlines the line layout. The Factory is also great in support for asking questions.

I would loosen the lines and check the bearings on the traveler car and all blocks to make sure that none of them are binding. Clean and lubricate all and try it again. The lines don't run down to the winch on my boat, there is a anderson line tender mounted on the arch which moves the traveler across on my boat and it doesn't work very well. Good luck.
