Use any sail loft, or one that reps my manufacturer?

Haven't ever had sail work done so new to this, need to have my furling genoa given a good once over, have some rotten stitching replaced on sacrificial cover or (more likely) have whole new sacrificial cover put on.

This is a 30 year old boat, no real idea how old the sails are (main might be original, I have another headsail so assuming this is newer than original, maybe 10/15 years old when PO went to furling), but safe to say this is all out of pocket no warranty type question here.

Question is, is there (some? any? a lot of?) value in driving farther to a sail loft that is an official loft for my manufacturer (Doyle Sails), or is this the kind of work any reputable nearby loft could do?

Thanks in advance,

-- Bass

It's definitely work that any reputable sail loft can do.
