Traveller for a Morgan 22

We bought a Morgan 22 last year and renovated her, new sails, rigging, teak, hardware, keel cable, bottom and top paint etc etc and are now considering installing a traveller to do away with the old pulley system at the stern. Any thoughts on placement of this? Our options appear to be:- a raised one over the hatch area or alternatively directly in front of the companion way at seat level. From the ease of use and engineering point of view which (if any) of these would work best?

Thanks

Why would you want to move something that is out of the way and clutter the companion way? I guess it would work if you never go down below. My two cents.

Re: Traveller for a Morgan 22

My understanding is that the traveler is the modern "way to go" for improved sailing performance. We are fairly new to sailing, but thought to equip our boat with useful gear as we plan to cruise our area extensively on three day trips.

So perhaps the question I should have asked is: Would a traveler really be much of an advantage, to justify the expense and aggravation of relocating the sheeting system?

Thanks
