Telescoping Swim Ladders ...

OK, newbie here.

Our large, extensive/elaborate/expensive swim ladder on our Macintosh 47 was damaged in a small tornado we had in the marina (Clear Lake, TX). It's a major pain in the tail, as it integrates with the steps on the stern of the boat, and is a trip hazard, even when it was "right".

We've seen the telescoping ladders on the Hunters and Beneteaus. Does anyone have any experience with these, good, bad or in between with them? We are having to pull the boat anyway for other repairs, and can have the fiberglass work to integrate it at the same time.

Thanks, Bill
