Tack Offset & Outhaul Cut Up

I am going to order a new main as mine was destroyed off the coast of Ireland. The sail is off a Bayfield 40 and I have all the specs I need except the tack offset & outhaul cut up. Can anyone tell me where I can get these without have a sail to measure? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, captnski

I believe that these are rig (boom) measurements, not taken from a sail.
See a mainsail measurement form diagram:

On the boom, just as Gord says.

Re: Tack Offset & Outhaul Cut Up

captnski,

There is really nothing you need to look at on the old sail other than measuring the luff slides. If you're buying a sail from someone who recommends relying on the old sail as opposed to measurements taken from the rig, I would suggest you find a real sailmaker. Measurements from a tired old sail are a last resort. The rig is what gives you all the info to design a new sail.
