Stearns roller furling system

I have a Stearns head roller furling system. What I didn't know, is that the foil itself is the forestay. No wire inside. I have the mast down to do various maintenance.

Question is, how long does these kind of forestay last? It's been on since 1985. The rest of the rigging has been replaced.

Contact RigRite Furling Systems. They have all the answers to your Questions and replacement parts. I have a Stearns System on 1979 Pearson 40. It is still going strong. Did replace upper swivel and furling swivel bearings in 2005.
