Spreaders

Question from Dovekie, I would like to hear opinions on securing the spreaders to the shrouds ss wire, black marline, tape combination?? Thanks

First I would not use tape in any solution. I don't think it is ever a good idea to tape or tightly wrap stainless as it can trap water and cause crevice corrosion.

Not the prettiest solution but a simple stainless U-clamp on the wire above and below the spreader will reliably hold it in place. Just make sure the legs are turned inboard to avoid damaging the sails.
