Shrouds adjustment

I have just bought a Pearson 30 with forward and rear lower shrouds. I read that the mast should have slight curvature backwards and in order to achieve that I should loosen the rear lowers and tensión the backstay. I did that and it worked but now the forward lowers are very tensioned (even more than the upper shrouds). Is this the way it should be or am I doing something wrong? I appreciate any good advice on fine tunning a boat like mine in moderate to light winds.
