Sailmaker in Panama ?

We have friends approaching Panama (from the Atlantic), with a damaged jib they want to get repaired. Its a relatively large and sophisticated laminated sail. Any recoomendations about who (with contact info) could do the repair?

You might check with Mary, the manager of Careening Cay Marina at Bocas Del Toro.

If the sail is laminated you may just as well send it to your sailmaker's agent in the US. Good and fast service between Panama and the US. And the job will be done right.

Send your sailmaker some pictures first. Laminates are at times beyond repair.

As I understand it (but I have not seen any photos), it's a corner repair - should be fixable. But it's a highly loaded corner, and we need someone who understands how to spread that load out.

It's a big sail - trying to get it back to the usa would involve lots of shipping for a smallish repair.

We used Bob a couple of years ago to restitch our Yankee. Excellent work, fair price and obviously knew his craft. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.
he collected our sail from Shelter bay and returned it on the promised date...
