Roller furling

My jib is getting harder and harder to hoist up the Profurl track. Is there some kind of spray that will lubricate the track of the roller furling to make this task a bit easier?

Rub a candle along the length of your Luff rope..

May be dirt and crud in the groove.
If you get hold of a small length of luff tape, attached top end to the halyard, and secure a downhaul to the bottom end, squirt the luff tape with some suitable cleaner, and run it up and down the groove.
Then use candle wax or a spray on dry lube on the sail tape.

Try McLube Sailkote. I use on my foil, track, furler bearings, etc.

i've tried a couple of things - silicone spray, lanolin - the lanolin works ok, silicone not so good - one thing i noticed last time i hoisted the genoa - it seems to be the weight of the sail when the sail is bunched up that causes friction rather than the sail track - i noticed that by making sure the sail was well unfolded and spread on deck it went up much more easily.

pull a gun barrel cleaner rope threw the grove soaked with lubricating substance (either silicone or something) and the rope will clean and grease the groove.

I've used teflon spray and silicone spray. helped a little. Alot of friction over that luff length I guess.

I would get a short length of the appropriate size of bolt rope,and using a down haul to get it back down, run it up and down the track to see if there is some sort of obstruction, like a loose rivet or screw. If not, McLube is the perfect lubricant for that. It is what I use on my sail track for my Leisure Furl Boom. There are some cases where you shouldn't use it on bearings, and that is mentioned in the product information.

Also regularly check your allen screws that hold the foil together and to the bearings. they sometimes come loose and pinch the sail
