Rigger Needed, St Pete, Fl

I need to replace all the standing rigging on Cat Tales. Any recommendations on a rigger in Tampa Bay area? Salt Creek area of St Pete would be the most convenient location.

Greg, Steve Smith is a good choice IMO. His shop is located right on Salt Creek along with a very tall crane of his, which makes all the 'on top' work move along quickly...and that means less labor cost to you. Steve did my rerigging (minus a forestay) a few years ago and more recently replaced my forestay for me. Good folks.

Call Jennifer Smith at 727 823 4800. Jennifer picks up email at Ibeearigger@juno.com

Another alternative is Steve Kadau of Paradise Rigging at 727-327-3334. Kadau re-rigged out boat and has done work for many of the folks in our club and all have been very pleased.

FWIW...

I've also used Paradise although I think the name was Paradise Yacht Services. They pulled my mast, re-wired it and replaced a couple of shrouds. I was quite pleased with their work. I did have to pay extra for a crane to pull the stick and also incurred some "storage" fees at the marina.

Cabo is correct about the name for Paradise Yacht Services. My earlier entry is how I have them recorded in my address book, which is not correct.

Thanks Euro Cruiser. It's really helpful to have a recommendation. I contacted Jennifer and received a fair quote. We will probably give them the job.

Appreciate all the responses on this thread. It sure beats picking a name from the internet or the phone book.

Good Rigging Job

Steve Smith at SSMR did a great job on my rigging. My old rig was metric and he converted everything to slightly larger english sizes. Not any easy task, but done well.
