Raising bow chainplate instead of bowsprit?!

Situation 65'x40' trimaran, aft mast low tension rig
bow chainplate is located two feet below deck level
inside chain locker, center anchor in the way of bowsprit.

Sailing downwind the pulpit and windlass are both pushed by line between plate and tack.

To protect pulpit and windlass I have been tying second
line to tack and then 20 feet horizontal to ama.

I would not have issue if sail tack was tied to a Sampson that was about 15" above deck.

Anyone tieing the foresail this way? Picture?
