Finishing the
refit I am beginning to turn my mind to the sailing aspect of my
project. This will be the first
furling genoa I have used therefore I have a few questions. As this is a
new boat for me I will be testing all systems but when she is in the
water, I shall reinstall the system. My previous experience would be ofcourse to raise the Jib/genoa and tension it depending on my consideration of the expected
weather conditions to be faced. I expect to adjust the new system accordingly, however what is your best initial setup
My questions are
1. What initial tension do you start with
2. Does the
furling system
work better/easier with a specific tension
3 Assuming you seek to reef to 75% is there a tension/trick needed to hold the sail in place whereby one can still shape the sail
As always thanks in anticipation
