Outhaul slide

The outhaul slide on my Kenyon boom is made from a now flaking material I would like to replace. I suspect this is a non metal material and does anyone know where I may get a block of it? I think I can work with this material (?) to shape a new slide.

Or switch to a webbing clew strap. Probably better.
