Norseman terminals in Brisbane/ Australia

Does anyone know where I can obtain Norseman swageless terminals and cones in Brisbane area?
Sorry for the blurry photo.

Re: Norseman terminals in Brisbane/ Australia

sorry to be the one to tell you, but Norseman stuff is no longer made or sold. There have been several threads on the subject recently... a search will yield lots of info.

Re: Norseman terminals in Brisbane/ Australia

Shane,

We couldn't find any for our boat here in Australia. We wound up buying some mechanical swage bits from Sea Rig in New Zealand, last year when our T-ball fittings carked it. (Jim posted a pic, it's in the archives somewhere.)

Nav-tec has not supported Norseman for quite a while. It's a real nuisance.

FWIW, there have been a few threads about this in just the past year. If you want a look, look under the Search menu, to the CF Google Custom Search, and search on Noresman cones, or go through and search the rigging forum.

StaLok and Hayne are survivors in the mechanical terminal field. Both are supposedly as good or ever better than Norsemans.

Saw an ad. for some terminals from Lewmar that looked an awful lotl like Norsemans. Anyone used these terminals and/or know whether the cones will work in Norsemans?

At one point Lewmar owned Navtec IIRC, but I believe they were sold on later and now are defunct. So, unfortunately, I think Norseman is truly gone. I still harbor hope that some enterprising shop will start churning out cones for the thousands of Norseman fittings that litter the world.

There is also SeaRig in New Zealand making mechanical terminals of high quality, including T-ball mast fittings that work in old Norseman and Gibb mast sockets.

There's Blue Wave at varsity lakes, gold coast. They have good swageless terminals.

Thanks, I'll contact them. However I need cones that are compatible with Norseman terminals... it seems from the responses that they aren't made anymore.
