Hi Bill What 47-50 trawler can cross the pacific? i was not aware of any that had that kind of fuel hold? what range would it need to go??

I first clean the surface oxidation or corrosion with a fine abrasive and then apply a penetating dye. I then view the surface with a 20X handheld microscope that was available from "RadioShack" about twenty years ago (I haven't seen them recently). I'll accept a little surface pitting, but no cracks. You might find "Voyaging Under Power" by Robert P. Beebe revised by James F. Leishman worth reading.

I believe it is out of print, but used copies are available from Amazon.com.

If anyone was to buy This Piver Tri today, how long before that buyer would need to replace the rigging and/or sails and...What do you think it would cost to do so? The seller says the rigging is stainless and new and it's "Strictly" a crusing Tri, nothing fancy.
