If they did, some careful heat on the metal from a propane torch is your friend. Unbolt everything, hook a halyard to the old roller, tension the halyard, start heating the metal.

What Cheechako said, after many years of sleeping in bunks that have drips coming in on them, I am a believer in 5200 and it can be removed if needed, just add heat. I usually try to secure things as if I will never want to take them off. Sikaflex does make a good bedding compound, I don't remember the number, 241, I think, of course smoothing everything out after you drill the holes and proper surface prep will make all the difference in the world no matter what you decide to use. I always (Well almost) always dry fit everything before bedding it down, in case some modification needs to be made prior to the final securing.

If they did bed it with " Devils Glue", as MaineSail calls 5200, then its chemical resistance is not so good either and that can be useful in convincing it to let go as well.

A small diameter piano or guitar wire can help cut between, and a little heat will make it cut even easier
