Need a new mainsail

On my way from Tallahassee, down the west coast of Florida i ripped my mainsail, bad to the point of no return. so i am in the market for a new sail, not any time soon for i have no job. I stopped for one. a job that is, around New Port Richie. so i am asking for good cheap sails and a job opening. info on ether one would be most useful.

What's the boat? Or sail size.

Sorry didn't supply the important info. My bad it's a 25 foot O'day. I ran over to Orlando and failed to do anything right like bring the sail with me or take down measurements.

You might try craigslist or used sails from Atlantic Sail Traders in Sarasota.

Re: Need a new mainsail

I have a lot of used, good sails. Can you provide me with the actual length of the luff and the foot? If I have the proper sail, I'm only 100 miles south of you and will sell the sail, cheep.

Re: Need a new mainsail

Masthead Enterprises in St Pete has used sails and I've known the owner for a long time. He is honest in his descriptions and good to deal with. Buying a used sail is often false economy but if you're going to do it, make sure you're dealing with someone reputable.

I would avoid craigslist and ebay unless you can examine the sail prior to buying.
