Morgan OI33 Mainsail Traveler

What kind of mainsail, sheet track and traveler could be used on a Morgan Out Island 33 and where should it be mounted?
The idea of two separate block sys. used to manipulate the boom is too busy. I have used a one-sheet mainsail sys. with a track and it is the only way to go. Any help will be appreciated.

I'd recommend Garhauer as a potential supplier. They build a quality product and stand behind it. We have a Harken big boat system for our main and a Garhauer traveler for the mizzen. Both work flawlessly. Check the Harken catalogue for ideas on rigging arrangements. If your current mainsheet setup is end boom, be sure to consider extra loads associated with mid-boom sheeting if you decide to go that route.

I think it depends on the kind of sailing you do. I had a cockpit mounted track when I was racing on SF Bay. When I moved to Mexico, I pulled out the track for better use and movement through the cockpit, used two removable blocks on the coaming (tripod layout) which is good for cruising. I then had a stern arch built for mounting 2 wind generators, solar panels and davits for my hard dinghy. Now, the arch supports are attachment points for the blocks, further clearing out the cockpit.

The two blocks and triangulated sheeting for the Morgan OI allows for the main sheet to clear a bimini over the cockpit. There's nothing wrong with going to a traveller, but this sheeting adjustment is more critical on a performance designed boat that a Morgan OI. Consider these choices and the chances of having a bimini option in your future.
