Minimal dimension of rope line for Enkes 32T winch

My lines are 5/8. But now i have only 1/2 rope. Can i use it on Enkes 32T winch?

I thought you could use even 5/16?

Of course you can use 1/2" and 7/16" and 3/8" would also work. I am more surprised that 5/8" actually fit.
