Not sure about the vessel-specific construction, but unless you really want to remake that one you can just dry it, sand it, fill the cracks with
wood filler
epoxy and then encapsulate it with multiple layers of resin type
epoxy. Could be done with the mast in place as well.
I've done this to restore some difficult to reproduce mahogany pieces on my
boat. You'll just want to keep it varnished in order to reduce yellowing of the epoxy coat over time.
