Mainsheet winch ?

I've been looking at boats (for possible purchase) - specifically double-enders (Westsail, Hans Christian, etc.) - 42+ ft.

I just realized, I'm not seeing mainsheet winches. Should not a mainsail of this size have a winch? (It seems odd to me how many of these boats seem not to be set up for sail management from the cockpit.)
