Looking for a rail/track mounted rope clutch?

Anyone heard of such a thing? I've been googling for a bit, but having no luck.

I want to mount a rope clutch just forward of my roller furler line in the cockpit to make single handed furling(reefing) alittle easier. I don't really want to drill two more holes in order to mount a rope clutch, but the furler line follows the starboard rail/track and sliding a rope clutch on the rail/track would be much easier install.

Problem is, I'm not finding anything like this. The closest I've found would be rail mounted cleat (Schaefer Mid-Rail Chocks/Cleats - Toe Rail & Track-Mount Cleats - Cleats - Deck & Hull Hardware - Downwind Marine).

Thanks,

CB...

I am looking for the same thing. I am not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind, but take a look at a rope clutch by Garhauer.

My Tartan 33 has a conventional cleat mounted just aft of the primary winches. Like you I single hand most of the time. The advantage of having the cleat aft of the winch is that if I am flying the 150, I can take a turn on the winch to help start rolling it up. Once I get it started, I can ease it off the winch and make it fast.

Might want to rethink the cleat location...

I've been installing/configuring a boom brake and thought about a track mounted rope clutch but couldn't find one. Mike - nice find on Garhauer. Looks good.
