Re: Leaking Hatch Handles

Hi Rognvald, how do you get the handle apart to get to the o'ring? Is there a trick?
Cheers

Double,
There is a set screw that is underneath a cap on the outside of the hatch handle that needs to be removed with a fine flathead screwdriver or it is below in the center of the pivoting arm which may either be exposed or under another cap. If you know the hatch manufacturer, you should be able to get an exploded diagram of the arm or ask a technical rep. However, it should be in one of the above two areas. Good luck and good sailing. P.S. If it is under a cap on the top, hold the hatch handle from below before unscrewing the assembly. Hope that helps.

Re: Leaking Hatch Handles

Hey thanks mate, had a closer inspection and with a bit of pushing and fiddling with the locking piece it came to bits and the screw is underneath and the best thing is the o'ring is completely stuffed. so thanks for your help.
Cheers.
